I was born in Los Angeles, California, and have a lot of pride in my city. I’ve lived here all my life. I enjoy concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, gardening, walking the Rose Bowl loop, planning a summer vacation with my mom, and creating homemade cocktails. And of course, hanging out with my dog.
Education
My undergraduate studies were in Communication and Pre-Law. I earned a bachelor’s degree from California State University at Los Angeles, and graduated magna cum laude, in 1999.
A graduate of Southwestern Law School, I received my Juris Doctorate degree in 2003. During law school, I was a member of the Southwestern Law Review, a student-edited journal, where two of my writings were published. In addition to being on the Dean’s List throughout my law school years, I received achievement awards for excellence in several classes. I graduated top 20% of my class. I still visit my law school library, located inside the Bullocks Wilshire Building. The art deco architecture is a true gem in our city.
Early Legal Career
Upon being admitted to practice law in 2003, I worked for Knapp Petersen & Clarke as an associate attorney, practicing insurance defense litigation. I was part of a team of lawyers representing major insurance companies.
Still searching for my niche in the area of law, during 2005, I learned the craft of family law by working at the Glendale office of a reputable family law certified specialist. She has become my mentor and good friend. A huge part of my success and happiness as a family law practitioner was meeting her in 2005.
Establishing my Law Office in 2006
I opened my law office during April 2006, and dedicated my practice to family law. I handle simple, as well as challenging family law disputes.
I am a solo practitioner and work one-on-one with my clients. There are no paralegals or other attorneys at my office. Just me.
What to Expect from Me
My approach is a client-centered one. I am brutally honest, explain everything, manage expectations, and deliver realistic information. It’s often times unhappy news about what to expect from our courts regarding child custody, your money, and what we can accomplish together. I am not a therapist, but am sympathetic and sensitive to what you are going through. I promise to be there from beginning to end. In fact, I have received wedding invitations after representing clients in their divorce and premarital agreements. I build close relationships with my clients, and appreciate their feedback and online reviews of my work ethic and results.
License & Awards
I am licensed to practice before all of the Courts of the State of California. My State Bar of California Number is #228094.
I have been continuously selected to the Southern California Super Lawyers list from 2016 to 2022, as well as the 2015 Southern California Rising Stars list.
My peers have also nominated me as Top Attorney for Family Law as published in Pasadena Magazine from 2013 to present. I was profiled as a Power Player for 2017.

I was completely stuck. I had interviewed 8 legal professionals (5 attorneys, a mediator and 2 paralegals) trying to find to help me navigate my divorce. I found attorneys that used fear tactics and “divorce mills”. I mentioned the situation in passing to a friend and he said he had the same experience…until he found Ana. He said once he found her, things just started to move and get done. I scheduled an appointment with Ana. Everyone else’s consultations were free. Ana charged for her consultation, which I was 100% okay with. Once I got into the consultation, I was 1,000% okay with it. She was everything my friend said. There was no agenda other than to represent me and help me. She gave accurate predictions and spot-on advice. Her communication is spot on. You will know exactly where you stand with your divorce, even if you don’t like the answer. It will be real…she gives it to you straight. You will never be overcharged, and you can have confidence she will get it done for you. She’s a tough negotiator and she’s fair. If I had not chosen Ana, I’m certain my divorce would still be dragging out and at 3 times the cost if I had gone with someone else. Trust me. You want her in your corner.
I needed help drafting a prenup before my wedding, and found Ana through Yelp. I’m extremely glad I made that decision, as Ana’s services were everything I could’ve hoped for and more. She took the time to understand my individual situation & needs, and made the entire process simple and clear. Ana is kind, considerate, and a consummate professional, and I would recommend her services to anyone.
