Meet the Attorney

Ana Barsegian established her own firm in April 2006. Her law office focuses primarily on all aspects of family law. Over the years, her practice has expanded to include probate & estate planning, and bankruptcy, as these practice areas often times cross over into divorce and legal separation matters.

Upon being admitted to practice law in 2003, Ms. Barsegian had an opportunity to practice insurance defense litigation as an associate attorney in mid-sized firms. Ms. Barsegian was part of a team of lawyers representing major insurance companies.

Prior to establishing her office, Ms. Barsegian learned the practice of family law by working in Glendale at the offices of a reputable family law certified specialist. During this experience, Ms. Barsegian learned the skills and knowledge to effectively represent clients in family law matters. Most importantly, she discovered the value and importance of the practice of family law by helping clients during difficult and emotional times.

She has been a volunteer attorney for the Harriett Buhai Center in Los Angeles, a free family law assistance clinic for low-income individuals, and has also volunteered her time at free legal clinics for the Armenian community.

Ms. Barsegian is a member of the State Bar of California, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Beverly Hills Bar Association, San Fernando Valley Bar Association, and Armenian Bar Association.

She is licensed to practice before all of the Courts of the State of California. Her official bar membership can be verified at www.calbar.ca.gov.

Ms. Barsegian graduated from California State University at Los Angeles, magna cum laude in 1999. She obtained a bachelor of arts in communications with a minor in pre-law.

She attended Southwestern University School of Law where she was a member of the Southwestern Law Review. She was on the Dean’s List and was awarded the CALI Excellence in Contract II and the Exceptional Achievement Award in Civil Pretrial Practice. She received a juris doctor degree in 2003, graduating top 20% of her class. During law school she was a judicial extern for the Honorable Dickran Tevrizian at the United State District Court in Los Angeles, as well as working as an extern for the Office of the Attorney General.
